The Mist Vale

(current copy is w.i.p) The wild sea is a choppy tempest of tidal waves & enshrouding mists, with only a bottomless abyss to greet you below. Some say it is bottomless, and penetrates deep into the planet below, drawing water from the ancient lost oceans of the Old World. The unknown lurks beneath the waves as monsters large enough to swallow a ship whole are said to hunt the Mist Vale. outcasts have discovered safe passage across these waters as their raider clans inhabit the archipelago hidden at its center. It is said that many of them died to earn this passage, and that the blood of their people soaks the sea. Few citizens traverse beyond the river mouths and the sea's coast. Those that do are seldom seen again.
