(current copy is w.i.p) The mountains of Vielume number in the thousands. The peaks dominate the land as far as the eye can see. The valleys between them act as corridors that one might traverse like a labyrinth. Avalanches are common, and much of the land is buried beneath snow, rock and stone. An ancient family of blue dragons call the tallest peak their home. There are few in Risen who can challenge them, and so they are avoided. Goats, giant eagles, & wild cats roam the mountain sides, surviving on what little the land provides. Caves, mines and dungeons dig deep into the earth, some hidden under layers of snow so thick they will remain lost forever.
